About Mrs. McNair
A Spartan for life, Mrs. McNair is a 1997 graduate of New Hartford Senior High School and
resident of New Hartford. Before settling into an old, rotten farmhouse in the village with her family (husband Jamie; kids, Jack and Finn; dog, Elvis), Jessica attended the State University of New York College at Geneseo. A 2001 graduate, Mrs. McNair completed a dual major in Elementary and Special Education and minored in Environmental Studies.
Following graduation, Mrs. McNair returned to 'the 13413' permanently certified to teach in New York State. Her career began at E.R. Hughes Elementary School where she taught for 5 years. In 2004, Jessica earned her MS in Curriculum Development and Instructional Technology from the University at Albany. Myles Elementary school welcomed Mrs. McNair during the 2006-2007 school year before she took a leave of absence.
It is with great excitement that Jessica returns to the classroom at Bradley Elementary school in the fall of 2014.
Outside of school, Jessica is proud to serve alongside dedicated and respected colleagues on the steering committee of New York State Allies for Public Education. You may also find Jess swimming, biking or running in the early morning, or lounging poolside at Woodberry Hills Swim Club throughout the summer. If there were more hours in the day, Mrs. McNair might be found gardening, sewing, reading (even more than she does), or trying out a new gluten-free recipe.
